Oriel College, University of Oxford
Oriel College’s website caters for a very broad range of audiences: it is both a comprehensive prospectus for potential students and a repository of information for current students and residents as well as a source of contact information for the wider academic community. Consequently we needed to design a site that was both supremely attractive to prospective students and highly efficient in its presentation of information. A particular emphasis was put on the need to speak to a broad range of school leavers.
The design started with a consolidation of the disparate branding materials that the College was previously using and a redrawing of the logo. The overall design involved wide consultation with stakeholders and users in which we explored the complexities of navigation, calls-to-action and aesthetic options. Administrators required a clearer and more efficient interface when working on the site and we considered their needs as a top priority.
It was a real pleasure to work with the team from Agile Collective on our website redevelopment project, and we’re absolutely delighted with the finished result. Throughout the whole process, they couldn’t have been more helpful and efficient and I was constantly amazed at how much they managed to fit into each sprint of work!
The Agile team made a huge effort at the beginning of the project to make sure they understood all of our requirements and then helped us to prioritise them, and this proved invaluable when making choices about which features we did and didn’t need and managing spend. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Agile Collective!
